Welfare
Protect wellbeing & meet standards
We provide on farm welfare checks and plans delivered by a local technician or veterinarian to protect animal wellbeing and meet regulatory and cooperative standards.

Core assessments
Body Condition Scoring (individual)
Individual BCS at key seasonal points to assess feeding and guide targeted dry‑off.
Body Condition Scoring (mob)
Mob-level BCS monitoring to track trends through the season.
Tail scoring
Herd tail scoring for welfare monitoring.
Locomotion Scoring
Whole-herd locomotion assessments to identify and prioritise lame animals for treatment.
Annual ACVM Consultation
Food-safety-focused review of key animal health indicators to flag issues requiring further investigation.
Targeted interventions
Healthy Hoof
A focused lameness programme, when repeated scoring shows no improvement.
Transport certification
On‑farm veterinary assessments and certificates when animals are fit for travel; unfit animals receive treatment plans or humane on‑farm slaughter advice.
Cooperative Difference Animal Welfare Plan
30‑minute consult producing a minimal standard animal health plan; WelFarm recommended.
