Amanda Carr

Amanda lives in Te Kauwhata and had been farming in the area for over 8 years before joining the team in 2017. Most of her farming experience is with dairy cattle and rearing replacements; however, she has also worked on a dairy goat farm. She has always wanted to work in veterinary medicine, and after a year of study, graduated top of her class in early 2017 with a certificate in vet nursing.

In particular, she enjoys pregnancy scanning, de-budding calves, taking blood samples, being an “in the field” surgical assistant, and bolusing both cattle and sheep.
