Dr David Hawkins BVSc

David started with Franklin Vets in 1997, has a broad background in veterinary services and became a shareholder/director of the company in 2003. David has an established and growing consulting clientele with whom he works on herd health, nutrition, farm systems, and sustainability issues, and he also oversees various research projects.

David is a tutor on NZ’s Advanced Mastitis Course and contributes regularly to various veterinary education forums. David’s time is split between our Pukekohe and Te Kauwhata clinics.

Outside of the job, he spends a lot of time with his family and in church activities, enjoying music, sailing, travelling, and water sports.
