Dr Henri Mostert BVSc

Henri graduated with a BVSc from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 1993, where he worked for 1 year as a Government Vet before starting his own practice in 1994. Henri was a practice owner in Pretoria and later in Vryheid, where he worked with all sorts of animals, including wildlife.

He and his family decided to emigrate to NZ and landed here in early 2016, where he joined MPI as a Vet. After two years, his love for companion animal practice led him to return to private practice, initially in the far South Island and eventually here at Hamilton Vets in 2020. His main area of interest is surgery (soft tissue and orthopaedics). He has an emerging interest in pet birds! 

Henri is the father of five children, loves outdoor nature activities and a good braai (BBQ) – like any South African!
