Dr Paul Eason BVM&S MANZCVS (Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care Medicine)

Paul graduated from Edinburgh University in 1989 and, after working in a variety of practices in the UK, moved to New Zealand in 1997.

Paul manages our largest hospital based in Pukekohe, together with a clinic in Paerata. Still very active clinically, Paul’s main interests are in surgery, particularly orthopaedics and trauma management, but he also enjoys critical care. Much of his time is spent in the operating theatre repairing dogs’ knee injuries.

Paul holds dual Membership of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, in Surgery and in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

Paul is passionate about advocating for pet health and would like to see more services made available to owners to help their pets live happy, active lives at a cost people can afford.

Paul is also very enthusiastic about further education, and particularly enjoys time spent helping other staff and students realise their full potential.
