Dr Sujata Divekar BVSc

Sujata has been part of our Beachlands team since 2021. Before this, she worked as a locum with Ellerslie Vets and Pet Doctors in Howick. She knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a vet. Her favourite thing about her job is that every day brings new challenges and surprises - some good and some not so good. She enjoys the variety in her role and thinks she wouldn’t find fulfilment if every day were the same. She has a special interest in ophthalmology (eye care) and enjoys learning more about it when she can. Sujata feels lucky to be working with such a friendly and lovely team, and the team loves working with her, too!

She loves the clients out at Beachlands and always focuses on building relationships with them so they feel they can trust us with their fur babies. Of course, she also loves our patients, and animal cuddles always make her day.

Outside of work, Sujata likes to go on walks, travel, paint, and draw - she truly is a fantastic artist! Sujata has a very cheeky dog at home named Zelda.
