Sue Woodworth

Sue joined the Waiuku team in 2018 as a Vet Nurse. She has always been around a variety of animals and will never be without them. She has always wanted to work within the animal industry and loves how rewarding her job is. She especially enjoys looking after our hospitalised patients, helping them recover, and caring for their welfare after surgery - just being there for your fur babies when they need us most. She enjoys all areas of nursing and is passionate about maintaining minimal handling of our patients and creating solutions to minimise fear and anxiety in the clinical setting. She also has a special interest in behaviour, nutrition, and rehabilitation. Being a nurse is very rewarding because no two days are the same, and Sue's passion is who she is: a nurse.
Before becoming a nurse, Sue was busy being a mum of two, running a cleaning business, and running a lifestyle block.
As Waiuku is a small community, our clients often pop in. She enjoys working with our close-knit team and finds them a supportive bunch. She thinks it is special how we support each other on those tougher days; it makes those hard days a little easier, and all with a great sense of humour - laughing always makes the day go faster!
After hours, Sue enjoys family time, her garden, hanging out with all her animals, and connecting with her spirituality.
