Zhinny Johnson

Zhinny joined our team as a nurse in 2007, originally starting at our Papakura clinic, but has been based at Beachlands since our clinic opened. Before becoming a nurse, Zhinny was busy being a mum and working in the travel industry. Her favourite part about being a nurse is being there for fur babies when they need us the most. She loves working out at the Beachlands clinic because of the location. She enjoys driving along our beautiful coastline before work and loves that a small community means our clients pop in often. She enjoys working with our close team and finds that we are a supportive bunch with a great sense of humour - laughing always makes the day go faster!

Zhinny is particularly interested in puppies and behaviour; she also enjoys interesting medical cases and complex surgeries.

Zhinny has a beautiful Bengal cat named Leo, a border collie x Japanese spitz named Bentley, and 4 Dorper x Wiltshire sheep. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach, swimming, snorkelling, fishing, or taking long walks. She also enjoys woodworking (making furniture and smaller items out of recycled native timber) and general DIY. She is the handywoman at our clinic and always helps with odd jobs! Of course, she also enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
